Bangle vs Bracelet vs Cuff: What's the Difference?
People use "bangle" and "bracelet" interchangeably, but they fit and wear very differently. Knowing the difference makes sizing, stacking and gifting a lot easier.
What is a bangle?
A bangle is a rigid, closed ring that slides over your hand onto your wrist. There is no clasp. Because it has to pass over your knuckles, a bangle is sized to your hand, not your wrist, and it moves freely once it is on. That gentle movement is part of the charm, and the soft sound bangles make together is a big reason people love stacking them.
What is a bracelet?
"Bracelet" is the umbrella word for anything worn on the wrist. Usually it means a flexible piece, like a chain or beaded bracelet, that opens with a clasp and is sized to your wrist.
What is a cuff?
A cuff is rigid like a bangle but has an opening, so you slip it on from the side of your wrist and can often pinch it slightly to adjust the fit.

Why we make bangles
No clasp means nothing to fumble with, nothing to break and nothing to catch. You slip them on in the morning and forget about them. That is why many of our customers tell us they wear theirs every day. Bangles are also the easiest wrist piece to stack, since closed rounds of the same size fall together neatly.
How to find your bangle size
Tuck your thumb into your palm like you are slipping a bangle on, then wrap a tape measure or string around the widest part of your hand. Match it to our bangle size guide. Between sizes? Size up for easier on and off.
